So, the bigger the army the faster it can act and move?<br /><br />At the individual level (for small numbers of combatants) it can work fairly well, I think. Initiative order is likely to go something like fighter > cleric > rogue > wizard (assuming d10, d8, d6, d4 hit dice)...
